With their fifth studio album 'Arirang,' BTS has dominated major weekly charts both within South Korea and in international markets.

On the 30th, information from Hanteo Chart, a renowned album sales tracking service, revealed that BTS's latest album 'Arirang' secured the top position on the weekly world and album charts for the period of March 23-29. Remarkably, the album ascended to the top of the charts within just three days of its release on March 20, maintaining its leading status for two consecutive weeks.

As detailed in a preview article by American music publication Billboard on the 30th, 'Arirang' has clinched the number one spot on the 'Billboard 200' main album chart for the week dated April 4. The album debuted with 641,000 album units sold, achieving the highest weekly performance for a group album since unit tracking began in December 2014. Out of these, 532,000 were pure album sales, including both physical and digital purchases, setting a new benchmark for weekly sales of a group album in over ten years.

In addition, BTS has claimed top positions across global music charts. They dominated Spotify's weekly charts for March 20-26, including 'Weekly Top Albums,' 'Weekly Top Songs,' and 'Weekly Top Artists' globally. Significantly, the album's lead single 'SWIM' ranked first on 'Weekly Top Songs Global,' and all 14 tracks from the album were listed within the top 30.

The song 'SWIM' consistently held the number one position on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple Music's 'Top 100 Global' for 9 days (March 20-28) and 7 days (March 23-29), respectively. Furthermore, every track from the album appeared on the latest charts of both platforms. Even ten days post-release, every track, including 'SWIM,' continues to be immensely popular, indicating the widespread admiration from music fans worldwide.

In the meantime, BTS is set to perform at the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' scheduled at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on April 9, 11, and 12. Later, in October, they will hold stadium concerts across South America, visiting countries such as Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. All 46 planned performances, including those in Goyang, North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, have sold out rapidly, underscoring their formidable ticket-selling prowess.
